knowledge may be power, but OWNING information doesn't make you smarter

Human society was shaped by sharing! If we hadn't shared shelter, food, care for the young, companionship, etc. society as we know it would not exist today.
If you're old enough you should remember when the internet was just ramping up and everyone was talking up the new paradigm. We were once again part of a "global village" where people in every corner of the globe could share information, ideas, money, etc, etc. Offices would become paperless, communication would become instantaneous and life would look more like an episode of the Jetsons or Star Trek.

Is eyeball touching intimate or invasive?

Someone recently touched my eyeball (both of them in fact) and I think it changed my life.

I went to an optometrist a few weeks ago, as I am slowly getting blinder in one eye (very, very slowly, like, i will be 300 years old at this rate before i am blind) and needed a new contact lens script.

The people were very nice and ran a full test regime on my eyes announcing that my eyes are very healthy but it was time to up the script in my right eye.

At my new lens fitting appointment, I sat in the chair as usual, but unlike any other time, the optometrist asked me to tilt my head back, and before I knew what was happening she had PUT THE LENSES IN MY EYES! That's right, she touched my eyeballs!

My new old iPad

I will admit to being an iPad sceptic prior to a few weeks ago, but I dropped into my sister's house, where there are two, had a play, and bough one within days.

I already had a 7 inch Android tablet, with which I am still obsessed, and I recently sold my iPhone 3GS because I won a superb android phone (Samsung Galaxy S) from Crazy John's on Twitter.
